Thursday’s accidental balloon launch was not the first time The Heene Family, of “Balloon Boy” Fame, lost control of their homemade aircraft! CNN has unearthed this video, which shows storm scientist Richard Heene yelling and cursing at his three sons to grab the balloon’s tethers as the aircraft floats towards the sky.

And in related news, further fueling suspicion of a Heene Hoax, TMZ.com has learned that Richard pitched an unscripted series featuring the family to Reality Real, as well the company that produces Wife Swap — which the family appeared on back in March — in hopes of landing a deal with TLC. A TLC official confirms the Heene family approached the network “months ago” with an idea for a reality show, but the network passed.
