Former ‘American Idol’ contestant Blake Lewis has been signed to 19 Recordings/Arista Records and is already recording a late 2007 album to include everyone from JR Rotem to Sean Kingston.

“Blake has a strong music sensibility and knows who he is and what his music should represent. His collaborators are all knocked out by him,” Clive Davis says.

“I love performing, so spending the summer on the road has been a great experience,” Blake says in a statement. “But I’m also enjoying my time in the studio and I’m very excited about recording my debut album. I’m thrilled to be working with 19 Recordings and ARISTA Records”
