Blake Fielder-Civil Seeks Cash Settlement From Amy Winehouse
Amy Winehouse’s ex-husband is expected to request a large payoff from the songstress.
Blake Fielder-Civil – who was granted a preliminary stage of divorce for the Grammy-winning star last Thursday – believes he is entitled to a multimillion settlement from Amy because he inspired much of her critically-acclaimed 2006 album Back to Black.
Amy wrote the top-selling album after Blake cheated on her with his ex-girlfriend. The pair later reconciled and married in May 2007 — without a prenup.
“Amy did write ‘Back to Black’ when Blake left her, but why on earth should he be getting a dime for making her feel so bad?” a source has revealed to News of The World.
“She was at her lowest ebb when she wrote that album. It’s like saying that the man who writes a book about his murdered wife should give the murderer some of the profits. It’s an absolutely ridiculous request.”
Amy, 25, is said to be furious over Blake’s money demands.
“Amy’s distraught because she doesn’t think Blake will go quietly.”
