The Black Eyed Peas have hit a new milestone. Their No. 1 hit “I Gotta Feelin’” has become the first song to reach the 6 million mark in digital downloads, Billboard Magazine said this week. The song was one of the hits from the group’s multiplatinum comeback LP, The E.N.D., released in 2009. The band also had the first song to top the 500,000 mark in paid downloads with “Let’s Get It Started” back in Feb. 2005.

“We came out in ‘98 and our career, if you would look at it on chart, there’s no dips in it,” BEP frontman will.i.am told The Associated Press in a telephone interview on Thursday. “For our career to still be healthy and vibrant and doing things like 6 million downloads, it’s pretty significant.”
