Hey Ivan, I also doubt it was deliberate but it doesn’t matter legally speaking. The verse it just too close… even if the songwriter heard the Black Crowes song years before and subconsciously borrowed it it’s still a copyright infringement. It has to be, otherwise anyone could get away with a rip off by claiming it was unintentional.

Coincidence? They do sound very similar but i don’t think it was deliberate copy right infringement.

I wish I had a dollar for everytime a new country singer/songwriter has ripped of a classic rock song… take ‘em to the cleaners I say.

But in fairness I also wish I had a dollar for everytime a classic rock song has ripped of an old Blues/RnB/Gospel/Folk tune…
