Just when it looked like Billy Ray Cyrus might actually be a firm father, the country-crooning softie denied that he banned his superstar teen daughter, Miley Cyrus, from being friends with twenty-one year old recovering cokehead Lindsay Lohan.

“Not true. We love Lindsay,” the singer told Ryan Seacrest on the Tuesday morning edition of On Air With Ryan Seacrest.

“I wanna be the person [Miley] wants to talk to….I just want to be one of those friends.”

Newsflash Billy Ray, as long as Ms. Miley is underage, your job is to be her dad. Teenagers need guidance from their parents, not friendship.
