Bieber Snubs Teen Vogue Party
Justin Bieber — who is in a neck-in-neck race with fellow pop sensation Lady Gaga to become the first person with 1 billion views on YouTube — made history in another way last week: The 16-year-old became the first guest of honor to not show up at the annual Teen Vogue Party.
Bieber skipped the bash last Friday evening, despite appearing on the magazine’s Young Hollywood cover in May, E! News reports.
“If [Bieber] doesn’t come, it will be the first time a cover person doesn’t in party history,” a frazzled organizer said prior to the show.
The Teen Vogue event attracted celebrities such as Lauren Conrad, Nikki Reed, and Kelly Osbourne.
Bieber’s publicist says the pop star was unable to attend the celebration because he was returning from a family vacation in South Africa.
