Queen Bey is headed back to the scene of her tantalizing Super Bowl Halftime performance. Beyonce has been tapped to take the stage at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans this summer.
The festival concerts will run for three nights, beginning July 4 through July 7. Essence hasn’t announced which night Bey’s show will will be presented.
She’ll join previously announced acts Jill Scott, Maxwell, New Edition, Charlie Wilson, Keyshia Cole, LL Cool J and Brandy. Additional acts are expected to be announced soon.

This isn’t the star’s first appearance at the Essence Festival, now in its 19th year. The musical extravaganza last hosted Beyonce in 2009. She also appeared in 2005, as a member of Destiny’s Child
Beyonce kicks off her 2013 Mrs. Carter Show World Tour in Europe this April. The North American leg will begin June 28 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The tour concludes Aug. 3 at the Jay-Z-owned Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The singer’s fifth solo album is expected later this year.
