Beyonce and Ed Sheeran Sing Gorgeous ‘Drunk In Love’ Duet in NYC [WATCH]

Ed Sheeran and Beyonce don’t seem like the most natural music combination, but this rendition of “Drunk In Love” had us reeling.

At the 2015 Global Citizen Festival, Beyonce stopped the show for an announcement, the arrival of an unknown musical guest. “I want to bring out someone I respect so much,” she said, before welcoming Ed Sheeran to the stage, with a signature plaid shirt on and guitar in hand, making a stark contrast to Beyonce’s glammed up figure. The unlikely duo performed a gorgeous cover of Beyonce’s hit single “Drunk In Love,” while the audience lost their minds with excitement. It was truly a show-stopping performance.

It’s sung with Sheeran’s acoustic guitar and Beyonce’s perfect, luscious vocals. Ed keeps up with Beyonce’s singing, even matching her rap for rap.

Perhaps Beyonce heard Ed covering the song last year, and decided she wanted to pull a Taylor Swift and bring him out on stage? This performance a must-see for fans of either talent, and proves that good music is regardless of genre.
