The most popular teen soap of the 1990’s could soon return to the small screen. The CW Network is developing a contemporary spinoff of Aaron Spelling’s Beverly Hills, 90210, which aired on Fox from 1990-2000.

This would be the second spinoff from the series about upper middle class teenagers from Beverly Hills; Melrose Place had a successful seven-year run on Fox after being inspired by the high-energy drama on 90210.
The CW is already home of runway primetime teen hit, Gossip Girl, which could be described as “90210 Meets Manhattan.” The network will expected to decide whether to order a pilot by the end of the month.
