Bea Arthur Broadway Tribute
The lights of Broadway will go dim for sixty seconds in honor of the late Bea Arthur at 8PM tonight. The Emmy-winning star of television’s The Golden Girls passed away on Saturday after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 86.
In 1966, Ms. Arthur received the Best Actress Tony for her performance in the Broadway production Mame. She later returned to Great White Way in 2002, when she appeared in the Tony-nominated one woman play Bea Arthur on Broadway: Just Between Friends.
