“Baywatch” Movie

Big Boobs To The Big Screen…..
Baywatch is being reworked as a tongue-in-cheek comedy for the big screen.
The beachside show, which premiered in 1989, focused on the lives of the lifeguards at one Los Angeles beach. The series became a global smash hit, and was once the most watched TV show in the world, attracting more than 1.1 billion viewers.
Baywatch single-handedly rejuvenated the flagging career of television’s Nightrider David Hasselhoff and turned buxom beauties Yasmine Bleeth and Pamela Anderson into an international sex symbol.
Variety reports that Paramount Pictures hopes to add “some giggle to the jiggle” by rebooting the campy series as a comedy. The film will be written and directed by Jeremy Garelick, who helped created the script of the hit comedy The Hangover.
“It felt like the template to do a movie that was similar to ‘Stripes’ and ‘Police Academy,’ the comedies I loved growing up,” Garelick says. “Rather than trying to pitch the tone, I figured it would be easier to write the first act to convey who these characters were.”
None of the original cast will star in the movie, although it is rumoured that both Hasselhoff and Anderson will make cameo appearances.
