Jessica Simpson is a big star in the Ukraine-and the fact that she “looks like Barbie” doesn’t hurt. Not only did the endearing ditz strike box-office gold when her stinker Blonde Ambition hit theaters in the nation last week, but Ukrainians have invited the star to visit their country.

“Ukrainians say Jess looks like Barbie. She is very famous here. The Dukes of Hazzard was shown ten times on TV last month,” Ukrainian film producer Arama Gevorcyan says.

The Ukrainian Film Commission agrees, saying: “She is really the ideal of American beauty and style, like Barbie. She would be useful to us and our image.”

Gevorcyan has extended an invitation to the actress:

“I’m the organizer of the big 80th anniversary celebration this September of the largest Ukrainian film studio, Dovhenko. We would love for Jessica Simpson to come to this celebration. And don’t worry, we will pay for it.”
