Barack Obama Lindsay Lohan Snub: Obama Campaign Reject Lohan Endorsement

“Thanks, but no thanks!” That’s the reaction actress Lindsay Lohan recently received after offering to publicly endorse Barack Obama’s campaign for the White House.

After panning uber-conservative Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin in a Myspace blog over the weekend, Lindsay expressed an interest in becoming a major cheerleader for the Democratic ticket, even offering to host a series of events targeted toward younger voters. It was a proposition the Obama camp politely declined.

So what gives? Apparently, a cocaine-addicted, DUI-driving former child star, who earns more headlines for a rumored same-sex romance than her uneventful acting career, ”is not exactly the kind of high-profile star who would be a positive for us,” a campaign source told the Chicago Sun-Times this week.
