The world is getting a much better look at Leonardo DiCaprio’s girlfriend.

On Tuesday, Israeli model Bar Refaeli was unveiled as covergirl of the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

Sporting a string bikini by Missoni, this is Bar’s first-time as cover girl of S.I.’s Swimsuit Issue, which launched in 1964.

“The cover has to reflect the athleticism and sexiness of the culture.This photo is modern, her hair and swimsuit look natural. You see her freckles. Her body is amazing and she looks intelligent,” says S.I. group editor Terry McDonell,.
