Bahamian Minister Of Immigration Resigns Amidst Anna Nicole Scandal

Bahamian Minister of Immigration Shane Gibson resigned on Sunday night after suggestive photos of the government official in the arms of former supermodel (and Bahamian resident) Anna Nicole Smith surfaced in several of the nation’s top publications.

On February 12, The Tribune of Nassau published two photos on its front page featuring Anna Nicole and Shane Gibson embracing on a bed decorated with pink flowers and a white ribbon. The publication said the photographs were taken in Anna Nicole’s bedroom and that it obtained the pictures from an unidentified source.
“I want to apologize to all persons who may in any way have been offended by anything that I have said, done, or perceived to have said or done,” Gibson said on state TV. “To the extent that my beloved country has in any way suffered from anything that I was perceived to have said or done, I want to apologize to the Bahamian people as a whole,” he added.
He continued to deny doing the woman who seems to have done everybody-after all, there are six men staking claim to her crotchfruit:
“I unconditionally deny that I ever abused my ministerial office by granting Anna Nicole Smith any permit of which she was undeserving or for which she was not qualified under the laws of the Bahamas,” he said.
