In a new interview with Radar Online, Marcus Garvey, the chief of the EMT crew that tried to save Jett Travolta’s life on Friday morning, has come forward with the heartbreaking details of the 16-year-old’s passing.

Marcus tells Radar he arrived on the scene to find Jett unconscious with a hematoma as a doctor performed CPR.

“There was a minimum amount of blood,” adding that that is consistent with someone who had just had a seizure.

Jett had no pulse or respiration. “Is he breathing? Are you helping him? Are you getting him back? Is he coming back?” his mom, Kelly Preston, reportedly asked EMT workers repeatedly.

Kelly and John reportedly joined Jett and the crew in the ambulance, holding their son’s hands and saying, “Come on, Jett.”

“He [John] was holding his hand, saying ‘Come on baby, come on Jett,’” Garvey explains. “They were more distraught, you know, getting him there, ‘how far is the hospital? How far?, how long is it now?’ And I said “We’ll be there in about 5 to 7 minutes.’”

“I still didn’t know who I was talking to. It was a shock to me.”

Jett was pronounced dead at the hospital, nonetheless always a class act, John took the time to thank the EMTs who worked so hard to save his son’s life.

“He tapped me on the shoulder and said, ‘Good job, good job,’” Marcus told Radar.

Jett is thought to have suffered a seizure and hit his head on the bathtub. An autopsy is planned for Monday to determine the exact cause of death.
