Ashley Greene’s West Hollywood condo went up in flames Friday, leaving one of the actress’ two dogs dead.

Responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to the home of the Twilight star, 26, at around 9:50 a.m. The fire was extinguished a short time later, according to an inspector with the fire department.

“We made an aggressive fire attack. Our team saw smoke and fire coming from the third floor. We have reports of two patrons that were burned, so they were treated by the paramedics and sent to the hospital.”

A source tells People magazine that two fox terriers belonging to Greene were in the apartment at the time of the blaze but firefighters were only able to rescue one of the pooches.

No word yet on what caused the fire.
