Ashlee Simpson won’t be playing Meryl Streep’s daughter in the Broadway adaptation of the ABBA musical “Mamma Mia.” The singer/actress is “too busy” to take on the role.

“She was interested in the role, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out because she’s putting out an album,” she’s Ash’s rep.

Ashlee starred in last year’s London production of “Chicago.”
