Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis have closed deals to star in the sequel to 2010’s action ensemble hit The Expendables, according to on-the-ball entertainment news site Deadline.com.
The former big-screen action men made a brief, memorable cameo early in last year’s film, which was co-written and directed by its main star Sylvester Stallone. The first movie took a colossal $275 million at the global box office, so it’s no surprise that huge names like Arnie and Bruce could be easily lured for the right price.
Deadline reports that their roles in the new film will be “substantial,” however, there’s still no confirmation yet about the leak that John Travolta will also sign on. Jean-Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris have also officially been listed as new members of the cast on Millennium Films’ website, alongside returning cast members Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke and Jet Li.
Filming is set to start in October.
