Actress Kim Delaney, 49, who stars on the Lifetime show “Army Wives,” has been in rehab twice in recent years. And after this embarrassing debacle, it looks like she may need to go back for a refresher course.
At last night’s Liberty Medal Award event honoring former US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, which was attended by high-ranking US officials and featured video tributes from three former presidents, Delaney took the stage to deliver a scripted speech.
The result was a slurring, stammering mess, during which Delaney alternately smiled during inappropriate moments (are funerals for slain servicepeople really that amusing?) and seemed to have trouble reading the teleprompter.
She clearly wasn’t finished when a production crew member appeared and escorted her off-stage.
