Just like Ruben Studdard and Taylor Hicks before him, American Idol alum Blake Lewis has been dropped from his parent label. Season Six’s resident beat boxer has been released from his recording contract with Arista Records, a rep for the label confirmed Wednesday.
“Arista Records will not be picking up Blake’s option and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”
(That’s professional speak for “Don’t let the doorknob hit you in the [Expletive] on the way OUT!”)
