On Tuesday, a Georgia judge ordered Apollo Nida, the husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star/attorney Phaedra Parks, to spend the next eight years in federal prison. Last fall, the US Attorney’s Office indicted Nida, 35, on charges of fraud and identity theft.
The government accused the ex-con of masterminding a theft ring while masquerading as a hardworking husband and father. The former personal trainer — who has two sons with Parks — entered a plea deal with prosecutors, only narrowly escaping a 30 year sentence.
Apollo remains free as the Bureau of Prisons works to determine which taxpayer-funded facility will serve as his new home.
