One Tree Hill star Antwon Tanner has pleaded guilty to selling more than a dozen Social Security numbers for $10,000.

In April, authorities charged the 34 year old — who plays Skills on the CW series — after he sold sixteen Social Security numbers and three fake Social Security cards to undercover Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers during a sting operation.

On Friday, Tanner told a federal judge in Brooklyn, New York that he was the operation’s middleman, selling numbers someone else provided. He and his lawyer didn’t comment on how he got involved in the scheme.

Prosecutors revealed the star is also under investigation in California, although the reason for that probe has not been given.

Tanner — who starred alongside Samuel L. Jackson in the 2005 film Coach Carter – faces up to a year in prison. He will be sentenced on November 20.
