Anthony Michael Hall, the former Brat Packer accused of beating and biting a former girlfriend in a savage attack in New York City last month, returns to primetime as a convicted killer in a guest spot on CBS’ forensic crime drama CSI: Miami.

The actor rose to prominence in the 1980s with appearances as the proverbial “nerd” in classic teen films like Weird Science and The Breakfast Club.

In the episode, taping this Thursday and airing next month, Hall (A dead-ringer for your stereotypical serial killer, if I do say so myself…) “will play a charming and charismatic former emergency room doctor who is now a convicted killer,” PEOPLE.com reported Monday.
