Foodie Fight! Things are getting hot (Not like that!) between celebrity chefs Paula Deen and Anthony Bourdain. In case you haven’t heard, the famous foodies have been embroiled in a war of words ever since Anthony slammed Paula in a chat with TV Guide this week.
As Antoine Dodson would say: “Hide ya pots. Hide ya pans. And hide ya tupperware.”
This could get ugly.
Bourdain branded the Queen of All-Fried Everything “the worst, most dangerous person to America” for her signature home-style cooking.
“She revels in unholy connections with evil corporations, and she’s proud of the fact that her food is [expletive] bad for you,” he retorted, apparently referring to Paula’s popular dishes — most of which usually include lots and lots of butter.
Well, PD isn’t taking that laying down. The Southern chef has fired back at her culinary rival, telling The New York Post’s Page Six: “Anthony Bourdain needs to get a life. You don’t have to like my food… I wake up every morning happy for where I am in life. It’s not all about the cooking, but the fact that I can contribute by using my influence to help people all over the country… You know, not everybody can afford to pay $58 for prime rib or $650 for a bottle of wine.”
