Congrats to actress Anne Hathaway and her longtime beau Adam Shulman, who tied the knot in a ceremony in Big Sur, California on Saturday.
According to People magazine:
“More than 100 guests were invited for the wedding weekend, which started Friday with a rehearsal dinner at the Ventana Inn and Spa. A nearby private estate was secured for the ceremony.”
The couple announced their engagement last November. Anne debuted an impressive diamond sparkler as the couple strolled in a Brooklyn park just a few days after Thanksgiving. The wedding announcement came almost a year after the Oscar-nominated former Disney princess moved into Shulman’s NYC apartment.
The bride and groom met through mutual friends in late 2008. Hathaway, 29, began dating Shulman, a 31-year-old jewelry designer and part-time actor, shortly after splitting from her swindler ex, Raffaello Follieri.
She credits Adam with helping her re-establish trust in people:
“We hit it off immediately, but it took us a pretty long time to get together. He thought that I had a boyfriend and I thought that he had a girlfriend, so I thought that I’d better keep my distance because I didn’t want to be that girl…Things sped up a bit — and I think I’ll leave it at that.”
