Angelina Jolie Furious Over Megan Fox “Tomb Raider” Replacement Reports
Angelina Jolie is reportedly fuming following recent reports that Transformers babe Megan Fox — a Jolie deadringer — is set to steal her iconic Lara Croft role in the next Tomb Raider flick.
The next movie in the series will be a prequel to the 2001 film, focusing on the character’s younger years, and movie bosses are banking on Fox’s “fresher face” to attract an mass audience.
A source tells The Sun: “Angie was intent on reprising her role. She feels it’s something she helped define and feels robbed that it looks likely to be handed to someone who she considers less capable than her.”
The replacement talk has ruffled Angie’s feathers, as the Oscar-winner, who is eleven year older than 23-year-old Megan, doubts the brunette beauty has the acting chops to pull off the part.
“Angie isn’t a fan of the Transformers films and believes Megan won’t do the Lara Croft character justice.”
The tabloid spy also reports that Angie believes Megan is styling her image: “Everything from her, from her tattoos to her style.”
Angelina is rumored to be working on another action flick that will compete with Tomb Raider, if Megan accepts the part of young Lara Croft. “Angelina is collaborating on a concept with a new sexy female action character which will absolutely blow Megan out of the water,” said an insider.
