Angelina Jolie and Catherine Zeta-Jones are on a shortlist of the actresses being courted to play screen legend Elizabeth Taylor on the big screen.
According to industry whispers this week, both Oscar winners are in talks to play the doe-eyed Dame in an upcoming film based on Sam Kashner and Nancy Schoenberger’s hit book Furious Love: Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, and the Marriage of the Century.
Who do producers have in mind as a possible Burton? Russell Crowe, Clive Owen, and Colin Farrell.

I think that the role should be given to Angelina Jolie. This is true that Catherine Zeta Jone’s beauty is classic and glamourous, however, Catherine may be too sophisticated and balanced lifestyle too stable for the role. Angelina, with her own personal life and personality being soo unpredictable and experience in several unstable relationships will give more understanding and mirror image character to the role of Elizabeth Taylor whose own life has been a roller coaster ride similar to that of Angelina’s.
