Angelina Jolie Sits Down with ’60 Minutes’ — ‘I’m Still a Bad Girl’
Remember when Angelina Jolie was a bad ass?
CBS’ Bob Simon sits down with the Academy Award winner for a 60 Minutes profile airing Sunday. Jolie may be more known for her humanitarian efforts and large family with Brad Pitt these days, but it wasn’t long ago she was Hollywood’s ultimate bad girl, no stranger to making out with her brother and wearing a vial of Billy Bob Thornton’s blood around her neck.
Ever the pesky journalist, Simon tries to get the mother of six to revisit her shady past — the one revered “Angie Hater” Chelsea Handler loves to use as a punchline in her opening monologue. The actress addresses her much-talked about past as she promotes her upcoming directorial debut, In The Land of Blood and Honey.
“I went through heavier, darker times and I survived them. For many reasons, I shouldn’t be here. Too many chances taken too, too far.”
Though she’s definitely settled down with Brad Pitt and their six children, Angelina admits she’ll always be a bad girl at heart.
“I still have that side of me…it’s just in its place now…it belongs to Brad. Or …our adventures.”
