Amy Winehouse U.S. Visa Denied; Coachella Performance Cancelled
Amy Winehouse has been forced to pull out of the annual Coachella music festival in California next month after she was denied a visa following her charge with assault last Thursday.
The troubled pop star was due to take the stage at the popular event on April 9, but U.S. Customs officials have refused to issue the drug-addicted star entry to America after she was collared for allegedly punching a fan last September
“She is not appearing at Coachella this year in the light of current legal issues,” Amy’s rep confirmed late Sunday.
This isn’t the first time the star has been forced to bail on a scheduled appearance over legal issues. Amy had to perform at the 2008 Grammy Awards via satellite from London after she was banned entry into the States over her 2007 arrest for drug possession in Norway.
