Amy Winehouse, who fled rehab after forty-eight hours earlier this week, was spied swiping a magazine from a British pharmacy on Thursday.

“It was the most bizarre thing I have ever seen,” says a photographer. “I saw her at the till paying for a few bits an pieces and then as she left she seemed to look over her shoulder to see if she was being watched and then reached up and grabbed the magazine.”

“I don’t know if she nicked it or not. It was crazy because there were press photographers standing outside the shop so it is not as no one was watching. ”

“Maybe she has an account with the shop. I don’t know. It just looked odd.”

“Ooh, you didn’t pay for that one,” shouted one photographer as the troubled star walked back towards her car.
