Late singer, Amy Winehouse, will be remembered forever in her hometown of Camden Town but now, the singer will be honored with a statue.
Winehouse’s family will unveil the statue on September 14th, what would have been Amy’s 31st birthday. According to the family, the bronze tribute will be featured in the center of Camden, an area known for it’s artistic influences and street performers.
Amy’s father, Mitch Wineshouse, says that the location of the statue will be easily accessible to fans. “Now Amy will oversee the comings and goings of her home town forever,” Mitch said.
Amy died from a drug-overdoes in her home back in July of 2011. She was just 27 years-old.
