Music fans will get a bird’s eye view of just how troubled Amy Winehouse’s topsy-turvy life really is when the drug-addicted Grammy-winning star and her family become the subjects of a raw new documentary set to premiere later this year.

According to a statement posted on Amy’s MySpace page on Tuesday, Israeli-American interviewer Daphne Barak spent time with the star and her family on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia recently in hopes of catching a revealing look at the star’s “complicated life.”

The Amy Winehouse documentary is expected to premiere this winter.
