Amy Winehouse Charged With Assault
Amy Winehouse has been charged with assault in connection with last weekend’s “crotch-kicking at the panto,” police in Britain said Wednesday.
The star is alleged to have attacked a 27-year-old theater manager after he chided her for disrupting a children’s performance of Cinderella with foul-mouthed heckling on Saturday night.

Amy, 26, has been charged with common assault under her married name Amy Civil.
“A woman from Hertfordshire has today been charged in connection with an assault at Milton Keynes Theatre on Saturday night,” a Thames Valley Police spokesperson said this afternoon. “Amy Civil attended Milton Keynes police station voluntarily with her legal advisor at 1.15pm this afternoon. She was formally arrested by officers from Thames Valley Police on suspicion of assault and public order.”
The “Back To Black” singer is due to appear in court Jan. 20.
