Amy Winehouse wants to adopt a child in her new-found island home of St. Lucia, we hear.

The 25-year-old singer –who recently revealed her lifelong desire to pen a children’s book — is considering moving to the resort island in the Caribbean fulltime to help underprivileged children.

“Amy is seriously thinking about adopting but she is aware it’s going to be incredibly difficult with her background,” an insider told The Daily Mail on Saturday.
