Amy Poehler has scored a book deal with HarperCollins’ It Books imprint. The Parks and Recreation sidesplitter will release an “illustrated, non-linear diary” in 2014, the publisher said Tuesday.
“Her original twist on the conventional memoir will have universal appeal. An illustrated, non-linear diary full of humor and honesty and brimming with true stories, fictional anecdotes and life lessons, the book will be a unique and engaging experience from one of today’s most talented and beloved stars.”
The still-untitled tome will be the first for the newly-single Poehler, who recently won favorable reviews for her co-hosting stint at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards. The mother of two shared MC duties with bestie Tina Fey, who became a bestselling author with her hit memoir Bossypants.
