Comedienne Amy Poehler just signed on to star in a new big screen project based on an upcoming line of children’s books.

The Parks & Recreation comedienne will star in Lunch Lady, the upcoming film adaptation of Jarrett J. Krosoczka’s soon-to-be-launched series of kid novels, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The first two books in the series Lunch Lady and The League of Librarians and Lunch Lady and The Cyborg Substitute are scheduled to be released this summer.

Amy has been cast in the lead role of a school cafeteria server who secretly leads a double life as a detective with the help of her assistant.
