Amy Poehler Leaving “Saturday Night Live”

Amy Poehler will leave Saturday Night Live after the historic November 2008 presidential election, the pregnant comics says in the October issue of Men’s Vogue.
“It’s gonna be really hard — Boyz II Men hard — to say goodbye to yesterday. SNL was dangerous, late-night, last-minute and star-studded, but like any good drug, you need to know when to put it down.”
Amy has her sights firmly set on NBC primetime, where she hopes to follow in the footsteps of other SNL comics and find success on a network sitcom.
