Okay, people. There’s got to be some bad voodoo working for someone like Stephanie Edwards to get kicked off. She looked confident going down on the stage with Chris Richardson as the bottom two. Chris looked like he was about to shit himself, and then probably did when he was announced safe, and Steph looked stunned. I was stunned … shocked even. All I could think (and yell, I did yell at the TV) was “What the FUCK?”

She was good. One of the best. This just goes to show that AI is NO singing competition. If it was, Sanjaya, Haley, Phil, Chris Sligh and maybe even Gina would’ve been out the door way before Stephanie. But alas, it’s more about popularity and personality than talent, much like life itself, however sad that is to accept. At which point, the questions become WHO likes some of these bland contestants? HOW in god’s name are some of them so popular? Do some of them even HAVE personalities?

Now, I’m not talking about Sanjaya, we all know the teenyboppers love him and after his performance on Tuesday, I’m on the fence. Another shot-out-of-a-cannon showing like that and you can all laugh and call me a ‘tween, ‘cause I’ll be liking him too. And I won’t be ashamed either, so fuck all of you.

Chris Sligh and Gina Glocksen might not have the best voices, but they do have personalities. I could give a quick assessment of who they are as people, just from what I’ve seen on the show. Not saying it’d be 100% accurate, but we have a good idea of what they’re probably like and they seem like kinda cool and fun people. So there’s no mystery there.

No, I’m talking specifically about Phil and Haley. These two are the foundation of my confusion. I haven’t seen personality from either of them, honestly. So, who’s voting for them? I specifically checked out the Vote for the Worst website, thinking perhaps they had chosen one of the two as their “worst” contestant of the season and that’s why they were making it through. But no, they’re endorsing Sanjaya this year, and he doesn’t even need the votes. He could make it through all by himself. Well, himself and his pre-teen army.

I don’t know, maybe there’s something in Phil and Haley that I just don’t see. I just don’t get them at all. Phil is like an empty shell of every annoyingly average white boy in America. Bo-ring. He has no soul, no spirit, no nothing. There’s nothing unique or special about him. Same with Haley. She is like an automated fashion doll, smiling, lots of makeup, skimpier and skimpier outfits and a head full of cottage cheese. For chrissakes, say something interesting for once! So, if anyone reading this voted for Phil or Haley, kindly send me an email or something, because I must know WHY. This is driving me fucking nuts.
