“American Idol” New Rule “The Judges’ Save”

The producers American Idol has introduced a new rule that could have a dramatic impact on the outcome of the show’s eighth season.
For the first time in American Idol history, the judges have the power to change America’s vote.
Idol has adopted a provision known as the Judges’ Save, which allows the four judges to rescue one contestant from elimination up until the Top 5. The judges’ vote must be unanimous, and they can only save one singer during the season.

Let’s hope that never happens; the only time you’ll get those four to agree on anything important will definitely be a sign that the show has had its run and its time to close up shop.
