“American Idol ‘Fixed,’” Says David Archuleta Mom Lupe Archuleta

If you thought Jeff Archuleta was a problem, you haven’t seen anything yet. Who knew American Idol 7 runner-up David Archuleta had not one but two insane parents. David’s mom, Lupe Archuleta, erupted into a violent tirade, accusing the FOX talent hit of being “fixed,” just moments after her seventeen year old son lost the title to twenty-five year old former bartender David Cook.

“She was very resentful that David Cook took home the title and she wasn’t shy about letting people know how she felt about it,” a backstage spy told the National Enquirer. “She said her son was the clear favorite, and it was obvious that the voting was fixed so that David Cook could win.”

Lupe even complained about the green Ford Escape Hybrid SUV young David won in recognization of his second place finish:

“My David can’t drive that car!” the mother of five told the tabloid insider. “We’re from Salt Lake City-if he drove that car around our town people would recognize him everywhere!”

Last month, David’s father, Jeff Archuleta was banned from the American Idol set after producers complained the rumored “stage dad” was interfering with show rehearsals.

David Archuleta wasn’t “the clear favorite” since the final six or seven. Everybody predicted that the final vote would be too close too call. Maybe if he’s done a couple of more up-tempo songs instead of specializing in ballads he would have stood a better chance. As it was, Cook won by almost 12 million votes. Pretty much a blowout.

The Archuleta’s are not the problem. The media is. The media has succeeded in publicly bullying a young seventeen year old boy. Now since they have run out of nasty little things to say about the boy and the father they think to start up on the mother. Can you Cook fans not recognize abuse when you read and hear it. I can’t agree with Carol A. more. I don’t know if this is a true story. If so, sending spy out to the backstage sounds so nasty. If someone dig David Cook’s family and freinds, you will probably find something crazy about them. Do Cook fans enjoy reading such a story, and you, media do things like that to him and his family for fun? Focusing on negative side of someone’s life all the time, will not only ruins someone’s life, but also influence reader’s attitude towards life. Please have a positive attitude towards others and be a good example. Have a journalist’s pride. I think David Archuleta hasn’t done anything wrong. He brought the fresh air into the Entertainment world. Let’s keep it that way. It is sad to see the media abuse to the humble young man.

No..David Archuleta did not bring fresh air to American Idol nor Entertainment. No one stated Da did anything wrong..what all these blogs are about is being a sore loser and honestly, others voted off have so much class because it is a fact that the ones voted off that were more talented as performers are not bashing on the net over this subject but are looking forward to the tour..David Cook has alot of class because he has gone on ahead of all of this and is focusing on the tout, the other contestants..Don’t you think it is time to give it a rest and to finally just go out and buy the CD when it comes out?

Wouldn’t any parent be upset if their child lost? I would think so! She probably wanted to voice her frustration in private instead of publicly so I think it’s extremely rude to send out a spy to go spy on the Archuleta family. You never know… Cooks mom or his brother could have exploded too!
And for the car… if I saw a car like that… I wouldn’t even think for a second that David Archuleta would be in it (it’s kind of like you see it, you think its David - so you look again, and again, and again to make sure you were seeing correctly). If it’s the color that makes it stand out… they could just get it repainted with the money David has already made… no biggy (if they are that concerned).
There’s always something people blame the loss of the competition on. For David Archuleta it was his ‘boring’ (I don’t see how boring they were) ballads. I thought Cooks performances were typical rocker performances - I wasn’t wowed by them. They both sang well, but Archuleta really got into the song putting more meaning into it than what it was meant for - you could feel the connection, but with Cook, I thought he sang great… but I felt he sang songs that he already knew, or had catchy lyrics in which he could make a catchy arrangement out of. Of course this is my bias towards Archuleta… so don’t diss me or shoot me down because of my opinionated comments.

Delcan has the voice that makes Archuleta dull in comparison, so to say David Archuleta was cheated of the idol croen is deceiving one’s self. Both Delcan and Charice are going to go further than Archuleta in singing ballads because ballads is what Archuleta does and it has not changed since he was ten yrs old. That is why there is no way to compare him to Cook because Cook is a completely different genre. I had to laugh over the white hat Archuleta is wearing because he dresses like an old man. I hope whoever has his contract will dress him his age.
