Well, all I have to say is that it’s about fucking time. Sanjaya Malakar was good for a laugh, but the more we all laughed at him making an ass of himself every week and the more it seemed like he didn’t totally “get it,” the worse I felt. It was kinda like making fun of a retarded person: it’s really easy to do, but it’s too mean because they don’t know any better and/or can’t help themselves. And I was starting to get that vibe from Sanjaya, which made me feel kinda mean for making fun of him. But, hell, who knows? Maybe he manipulated the fuck outta all of us and was just sucking up the glory with the full understanding that he was making an ass out of himself and just didn’t give a fuck. Well, he hit the road last night so I don’t have to worry about any of that shit anymore, thank god.

Yup, he’s finally done for, and he cried. Were they real tears or fake drama tears? Again, I couldn’t really tell. Right after he got the news, he buried his face against Lakisha’s shoulder while she hugged him, and they stayed like that for a while. Do you think maybe instead of him hiding his crying, he was really hiding crazy laughing? Hmmm. Perhaps.

Not much else exciting to report about the drawn-out-all-to-hell results show. The group sang a country song called “I’m Alright” and it didn’t suck completely. The Ford commercial was to “I Ran” and it wasn’t too stupid.

Then there was a performance by Fergie. Um, how exactly did she fit in the country theme? I was kinda bored by her. Martina McBride was good, she sounded terrific, although the song she sang was Blah.

And you know, whatever, they showed clips of the Idols visiting Dream Works studio to see Shrek, and they played with doing the voices of the characters. Then Antonio Banderas came in and Jordin looked like she just creamed her panties.

So, Sanjaya is no more and next week we’ll be treated to the Idol Gives Back super-duper-special. I’m still not quite clear on what exactly will be happening next week, but as always, I’ll let you all know.
