“American Idol” David Hernandez “Rent” Broadway Rejection

Singing exotic dancer David Hernandez just can’t catch a break. Nearly two weeks after being booted from the American Idol Final 12, David was rejected for a role in the Broadway classic Rent.
David read for the role of HIV-positive musician Roger.
“That isn’t to say that David won’t be playing any part in the show — there’s smaller roles that he might be perfect for,” a spy close to the musicial gushes to OK! Magazine.
After a twelve year run, the final curtain was set to slam down on Rent on June 1st , but producers are extending the musical’s run until September 7th following a surge in ticket sales.
