“American Idol 8″ Fixed; Final Four Already Chosen, Says Insider
A staffer on the smash FOX series American Idol has been blabbing about a network-sanctioned fix that will see four audience favorites battling it out for the title of Idol 2009 in the final weeks of the competition.
One of the hit show’s staffers is running around telling anyone who’ll listen that the team of producers and judges has already picked the final four contestants — despite the fact that 11 kids are still battling to be the latest pop star, the New York Daily News reported Tuesday.
The female AI worker told a “group of people that the last four are going to be Danny Gokey, Lil Rounds, Adam Lambert and Alexis Grace…..”

Hey, anyone who has watched the show this season knows that those four stand head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to hitting their notes, personalizing the songs and their stage presence. The producers don’t have to choose them, the public will get it right this season. Little miss chatterbox isn’t breaking any news….

I honestly think that the Idol producers and such better hope and pray that this isn’t the Final 4 now. If it is, then there are going to be cries of foul play and it could majorly effect Season 9.

Well, the staffer had two out of 4 at least.
Either they changed after the fact, or the story was fabricated bs by a jilted employee looking to hurt her former employer.
I’ve often suspected AI was fixed, but I think it’s done in a more subtle way (for instance, trying to get Danny Gokey kicked off the show tonight by showing the worst part of his performance in the closing highlights last night…we’ll see how it pans out). Adam is the most likely winner as he’s been showcased all along as a star – right down to having 1000% better stage production and until last night always being the last to perform, and even last night being moved from last to first. To be honest, though, I wonder if any of them is good enough to interest me. I like some of Adam’s song choices and his arrangements are interesting, but ultimately not all that compelling. I’m not all that likely to buy his album – but then again, to date I haven’t bought anyone’s album from this show.
