‘American Horror Story’ Renewed For Season 5
FX network announced this morning that they will be renewing AHS for a fifth season.
Smart idea considering that the season 4 premiere became the most-watched telecast in FX history.
According to the network, American Horror Story: Freak Show debuted to 10 million total viewers. The previous record was held Sons of Anarchy’s Season 7 premiere with 9.25 million viewers.
“With Ryan Murphy and his partners, Brad Falchuk, Dante Di Loreto and Tim Minear at the helm, the show’s success is not surprising. AHS continues t deliver amazing stories, a brilliant troupe of actors led by Jessica Lange, and a visual style unlike any other on TV. With Nip/Tuck, Glee, The Normal Heart, and American Horror Story, Ryan Murphy has established himself as one of the most successful and prolific producers of this generation,” said John Landgraf, CEO, FX Networks and FX Productions via statement.
The fifth season will air in October 2015. Co-creator Ryan Murphy told EW last week that clues for next year’s theme have been planted in the first two episodes of this current season.
No announcement of the casting has been revealed yet, but being a huge huge fan of the show, they would be stupid if they didn’t have Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, and Kathy Bates returning.
