“We are heartbroken to share the news that Neil Armstrong has passed away following complications resulting from cardiovascular procedures,” Armstrong’s family said in a statement. The Ohio native, who retired from Space Flight shortly after the Apollo launch to the moon, remained close with NASA throughout the years. It was Armstrong’, “That’s one small step for (a) man, one giant leap for mankind,” that every American can say with pride. Neil spent 2 hours and 32 minutes on the moon that day.
