The Sci-Fi Channel (or however they’re spelling that now) wants to remake the short-lived 1988 television series Alien Nation, according to a new scoop from Variety.

Based on the popular film of the same name, the series centere on the partnership between a veteran L.A. cop and his alien detective partner, after alien “newcomers” move to Los Angeles to assimilate into society.
