Alex Rodriguez has confirmed allegations, which first appeared in Sports Illustrated last weekend, claiming that he tested positive for illegal steroids six years ago.

On Monday, A-Rod told ESPN that he did take performance-enhancing drugs while playing for the Texas Rangers between 2001-2003.
