“Isn’t It Ironic” singer Alanis Morissette and the star of the recently released blockbuster Smokin Aces Ryan Reynolds have split.

“They remain close friends and continue to have the utmost love and admiration for each other. They ask that their privacy be respected surrounding this personal matter,” the couple’s reps jointly announced.

This is the second split for A.M and R&R-the couple separated briefly in June 2006.

The Canadian-born entertainers met in 2002 and dated for two years before becoming engaged in 2004.
